Chocolate Spinach Milk Shakes

Photobucket

Even though this recipe calls for two cups of spinach, the leafy greens are virtually undetectable in this frosty delight. This week, I've used nearly THIS much spinach making these shakes for the kids at lunch time.....

The residue on Twin A's face is said chocolate spinach shake. Here's a close-up, or wait... Is it too annoying when moms post photos of their kids with dirty faces just because they think they're cute. Well, I'm doing it anyways, because it goes to show how much he loved it....

If you like chocolate, you'll love it, too! Thanks for listening! :)

Ingredients

3 c milk
2 c raw spinach
⅓ c cocoa powder
⅓ c honey
1 t vanilla
Pinch salt
15 to 20 pieces of ice

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately.

Note: Keep leftover chocolate spinach shakes in the fridge for a refreshing chocolate milk drink later. The kids still won't realize there's spinach in it! :)

Add a frozen banana (or two!) to make this sucker into an amazing milkshake, then add a tablespooon(or two!) of your favorite nutbutter to make this into a delightful (and my most favorite breakfast) smoothie =)
